1. SUGAR SCRUB FOR HANDS
Exfoliation is very important because it helps to smooth out the skin but also makes it easier for nutrients to get to the deeper skin layers on the further stages of skincare. The easiest exfoliator to make at home is to mix olive oil (nourishing) with sugar (abrasive factor). Preparing and using such an exfoliator takes only a few moments. Just mix the two ingredients and wrap in hands for a few minutes.
2. HONEY HAND MASK
In the next step, it is best to go for a homemade cosmetic that is a honey hand mask. As you may know honey is a natural humectant that takes care of proper hydration level but also delivers nutrients and revitalizes the skin. How to prepare a honey hand mask? It’s not that difficult, especially because you can use the honey alone. You do not need to mix it with anything, though – if you feel like it – you can add to it, e.g. argan oil or yogurt.
3. POTATO HAND MASK
If the honey mask won’t work, you can try a hand mask with… potato. It is simple to prepare: you just need an egg, boiled potato, and yogurt. Such a mix placed on hands should be covered with a plastic foil for at least 15 minutes to effectively work on dry and parched hands. After 15 minutes, you just need to remove the mask with warm water and protect your hands with your favorite cream. Your hands will be smooth, soft, and moisturized but will also gain healthy color.
4. FLAXSEED COMPRESS
When it comes to very dry hands that cannot be moisturized or smoothed out in any way, you should try flaxseed. The compress made with flaxseed is a rich source of omega-3 and other nutrients that make the skin of hands less irritated, regenerate faster, and become smoother. The flaxseed compress is easy to prepare: pour a small amount of hot water over a tablespoon of flaxseed and set aside for 30 minutes then strain the gel that is created. This sort of gel hand mask made out of flaxseed should be applied for at least 15 minutes to be able to improve the hands’ condition.
