Winter Make-Up vs Summer Make-up

Is there any difference between summer and winter make-up? The difference is huge. The weather conditions change your skin and its needs. Here are a few tips and tricks that will allow you to look great regardless of the season.

Before you put the foundation on

If you want your make up to be hold to the skin and last more than 1 hour, your skin should be prepared in a right way. Every week use the face scrub to exfoliate all dead skin cells and any impurities. It is recommended to do the facial sauna once every fortnight. Thanks to this simple treatment, your skin will stay hydrated and supple. Always remove the make up before going to sleep to avoid any breakouts and other skin issues. It is easier to prevent any skin imperfections than to cover them up with a thick layer of concealer. Before you apply a foundation, rub a generous amount or moisturizing cream (always with SPF) into your skin and wait until it is fully absorbed. This way, your make up will not flake off and it will last much longer.

Winter Make-Up

The best thing you can do during winter is to hydrate your skin. The central heating and the harsh weather outside can cause a huge damage to your skin. Try to avoid water based creams and lotions and pick the one that are oil based- they will protect you from cold. If you are using mascara, choose the water based so that your eyes do not smudge. Bright colours are more than welcomed. Remember to put a thin layer of lip balm under your regular lipstick- there is nothing worse than chapped lips.

Summer Make-Up

Do not use heavy foundation. If your skin is not problematic, use the BB cream that can both moisturize the skin and cover any imperfections. You can use a concealer to hide under eye circles and to shape your face. Sun-kissed skin looks amazing yet natural during summertime. You do not have to spend long hours on the beach to get the perfectly tanned body. There are many fake tan products that can do the job for you. Use the bronzer and a highlighter to create dewy summer look.
